Training

The Club provides all members, casual riders and visitors the opportunity to take part in training rides including road and track sessions each day except Friday and Sunday.  See below for more information

TRACK TRAINING

Track sessions are held at  the velodrome, Victoria Park Mudgee during daylight saving time on Monday and Wednesdays from 5.30pm until about 7pm weather permitting.

Monday track sessions involve various forms of racing groups – graded according to ability.   Children are more than welcome to attend with an adult present.  Gold coin donation to the club.  The use of track bikes and road bikes are acceptable. All levels of ability are catered for.  Please contact David Payne paynedav@hotmail.com if you require more information.

 

ROAD TRAINING

There are various groups of differing levels that participate in road sessions.  At present there are the following rides:  No cycling licence required.

Saturday: 7am  – leave from High Valley Wine & Cheese at the turn off to the wineries (Henry Lawson Dr and Ulan Rd) .  These rides are suited to various levels of fitness and range from 70km plus in distance and average speeds of 28kph plus.   Various routes taken. Wednesday:  Depending on riders being available – 7am ride from High Valley Wine and Cheese (cnr Henry Lawson Dr and Ulan Rd).  Generally about 70Km

OR evening ride at 6pm from Bunnings Warehouse on corner Sydney Rd and Lions Dr, Mudgee.  Bring lights.  Approximately 40km.
